Our goals are to prepare well-educated, highly skilled, and socially and professionally responsible engineers and engineering technologists from a diverse population of students so that they can have productive and rewarding careers at local, state and national levels. Graduates will be well grounded in the fundamentals of engineering, mathematics, science, communications, and problem solving. To ensure that our graduates are valued by industry and to continually improve our program, input is sought from employers, our alumni and an industry advisory committee so that the changing needs of industry are met. The Engineering Program produces graduates that can acquire career opportunities in industry, government and education; including energy and utility companies, refineries, aerospace firms, biomedical equipment manufacturers, automobile manufacturers, electronics and computer manufacturers, construction firms and equipment manufacturers, HVAC manufacturers, consulting firms, colleges and universities, and government labs and engineering centers. Mechanical Engineering Technology Graduates may pursue careers in design, installation, manufacturing, testing, technical sales or maintenance of mechanical systems. *NEW programs starting in the Fall of 2020: Civil and Industrial Engineering Accreditation The Electrical Engineering BS Degree Program is Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, abet.org .
